D365 F&O Technical Consultant

Now we are looking for a F&O Technical Consultant for our client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review the F&O backend codebase to identify and analyze all ISV-installed customizations.
• Review internal F&O development to differentiate in-house customizations from ISV-delivered components.
• Collaborate closely with F&O functional consultants to understand which custom components are actively in use.
• Pinpoint in-use custom functionalities within the codebase and evaluate their dependencies.
• Assess and estimate the effort required to re-develop active custom functionalities that:
• are currently provided by the ISV,
• are not mappable to standard D365 out-of-the-box capabilities, and
• cannot be mapped through Dual-Write.
• Provide technical documentation summarizing code findings, redevelopment requirements, and solution recommendations.
• Ensure all technical design and redevelopment efforts align with Microsoft best practices and supportability standards.
• Participate in technical workshops and walkthroughs with internal teams and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or AX development.
• Strong experience with X++, customizations, extensions, and debugging within the D365 F&O environment.
• In-depth understanding of ISV solutions, integration frameworks, and code layering models.
• Ability to analyze custom code, identify dependencies, and assess redevelopment needs.
• Experience working with dual-write, data entities, and D365 out-of-the-box features.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with functional consultants and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience conducting code reviews for ISV and custom extensions.
• Prior involvement in migration or re-implementation projects.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (Technical or Functional) are a plus.
